Training for Colts players takes place on Tuesdays starting at 7pm at the Club.
Colts Players (Under 16, 17, 18) at all levels are very welcome at the club - we offer excellent playing facilities and a flourishing social life that will satisfy the biggest party animal! Just come down to training and make yourself known!

Wigan's season ended in disappointment as their injury ravaged squad proved too thin to take on the challenge of the Widnes pack in the Lancashire Cup Final at Fleetwood. With only 17 fit men Wigan entered the final quarter with a slim 9-6 advantage, courtesy of 3 Sam Heeley penalties, but then conceded 2 late tries and a penalty as Widnes deployed their 7 man bench.
However, they can look back on the campaign with satisfaction having finished 2nd in the Halbro Colts C Division and taking some notable scalps in cup competitions. Additionally 4 of their squad have gained valuable 1st team experience which bodes well for the future of the Wigan club.

The new season's fixtures began in September, and Coaches Tracey Grundy (07745 516518) and
Ian 'Chip' Jeffries (07843 674243) get their squad into shape during training every Tuesday evening at 7pm onwards. New players are most welcome to join us.

Just come down on Tuesday and make yourself known to the coaches.

WIGAN takes another step forward this coming season 2008-2009 as we continue the development of Colts Rugby at Douglas Valley.

Let's get off to a good start with a commitment to training - the first phase of the sessions on Tuesday and Thursday is with the senior players and will be extremely enjoyable (if hard!!).
